Hello everyone
Today's newsletter will focus on several overdue sets. For each of them, we had already announced an expected release date, which we then missed. This year and last year, we managed to release several such sets, including the White and Red Sparks, but there are still a few left. They have three things in common: firstly, the very large amount of work required to develop them; secondly, the high production costs; and thirdly, the premature announcement of their release. There are many reasons for the delay, but the main one is time. We have limited processing capacity, the days are short, and in the meantime, new topics constantly arise that require development, such as the Finnish and Dutch F-35s or, in recent days, the Polish F-35s from the 11th Air Squadron (but more on that tomorrow ;) ).
In recent months, personal matters have overlapped, as well as the launch of a new brand – DMJ-MM. Besides apparel, we're working on new products. The SLAB T-shirt donation campaign, along with preparations for the Mosonshow, took two months off our schedule.
In summary, we'll be putting our heads together and accepting that from now on, we'll only be showing you all the labor-intensive kits once they're ready for print. Below, we'll try to showcase some of the kits you've been waiting for, which we've already announced. Please be aware that we're working on several other kits, including three quite complex ones, so expect announcements of more new products in the coming weeks.
First of all
D..238 German Eurofighter Typhoon NATO Tiger Meet 2023

The news here is rather good. As we've already mentioned, we encountered a few unexpected issues. One of them was the additional tanks, which, like the canards, were painted, but unfortunately, we weren't able to obtain sufficiently good material to make them. Therefore, the decision was made to prepare the decals without these elements. Currently, we have all the elements ready; the 1/48 scale decals are ready for printing, and the 1/72 scale decals are being adapted to the new Revell model. We plan to complete this process in June and then send the set to printing, which we will inform you about in a separate newsletter.
The second set is
D..217 German Typhoon 15 Years of service "The Carbon Warior"

Unfortunately, as with the previous set, things aren't quite as good. Although we have materials from the painter, the differences between the design and the plane are quite significant and require a significant amount of work. At the same time, interest in this set has been moderate. It's a pity, because it's a very nice paint job. Nevertheless, we intend to finish and release this project this year. Fingers crossed!
D..166 Portuquese F-16 NATO Tiger Meet 2021

In fact, not much has changed. The problem here is the scarcity of documentation. This aircraft was entirely hand-painted, so we have to recreate everything, and the lack of good documentation often makes this very difficult, and at some point, the project stalled. We managed to obtain some photos, but we appeal to all of you for help. We already have what we can find online, so if you have access to them or know photographers who took photos of this aircraft, particularly during the A2A session, we would greatly appreciate your help. At this time, we cannot provide an exact release date for this kit. Theoretically, we could recreate this paint scheme "more or less" so that most of you might not even notice the differences from the original, but I guess that's not what we all want—to do something sloppily :)
Staying on the subject of cats, a topic a little closer to our hearts, because it's Polish.
D..181 Polish MiG-21UM Tiger Schemes Part II

We planned to release this set last fall, but unfortunately, the poor sales of the first part, combined with everything you've read above, have left it languishing in the queue. Although we'd certainly love to release it this year. The situation is easier here because it's advanced and doesn't require as much work as the above sets.
And to end on a positive note, you're asking about the 1/32 Turkish F-4 kit we've already released in 1/72 and 1/48 scales.
MD32241 F-4 Turkish Air Force 50 years of service

This is intended to be a mask and decals set, and you can expect it in the coming weeks. The small decal elements will be made using the same technology used in our SPECIAL EDITIONS decal series.
That's all for today. Tomorrow we'll show you a few things we're working on, including the already completed Polish F-35 set you've seen on our social media.
Best regards,
The MM Team
