Project Griffin

On July 20-23 we were in Krakow, where in Polish Aviation Museum (MLP) we reconstructed painting of TS-11 Iskra 3H-1409 in color which it was painted in 1992 on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the 28 Fighter Regiment from Slupsk-Redzikowo.

The idea came from Philip Jereczek-Bambrowicz during the preparation of the decal to the TS-11 Iskra in combat regiments, when he turned out that 1409 is in MLP

ModelMaker founded the paint, masks and emblems covered the cost of the journey the crew. After the MLP lay prepare the aircraft for painting and coating it with white paint.

The crew consisted of:

Boss ;) Philip Jereczek-Bambrowicz

Co-creator of the original painting, a retired technician 28 PLM: Ryszard Kuras

Known Modeler:  Wojciech Butrycz

ModelMaker coworker, modeler and enthusiast: Bogdan „fiedotow” Żołnierowicz

And his son:  Zbigniew Żołnierowicz

During the 72 hours have done about 200 hours of work, the work lasted from morning until late evening, and on July 21 almost until midnight! With perseverance, commitment and determination succeeded in slipping a small exit on Thursday, July 23 at noon.

During this work, with photos from the private collection of Richard Kuras discovered many interesting facts about this painting, which we had no idea when we created a decal, which hopefully will soon result in wider development and a new decal dedicated to this plane.

From this place we would like to thank the entire crew, employees of the Polish Aviation Museum, The Director Krzysztof Radwan, Krzysztof Mroczkowski and in particular Peter Lopalewski that in place watched over our crew, helped, often saving us from oppression.

We would also like to thank you modelers and modeling store owners, because it's also because you managed to realize this project. There's no denying it's good sales results allowed us to co-finance this project.

Here is a brief photo report of the work done.
